Castro C.L.A.N. is a full service law firm ready to oversee the day-to-day operations, including reviewing, approving, serving, and transmitting filings to courts and government agencies, calculating and calendaring all applicable deadlines, performing legal research and analysis, preparing and reviewing pleadings and legal documents related to court and agency filings, providing additional services in support of your firm.


On top of these duties, our Attorney Support Services team and Network of Local Attorneys are available to:


  • Play an active role in hiring, assigning, training, and evaluating your firm’s staff - including making recommendations regarding salary and bonus administration.
  • Oversee and contribute to the calendaring of active cases in a database such as MA3000, CourtAlert, eDockets, or Compulaw, and ensure that deadlines are correctly calculated and entered in the relevant court system.
  • Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of applicable court rules and procedures. Apply court rules in multiple jurisdictions quickly, efficiently, and in a manner which instills confidence and ensures risk management.
  • Oversee and participate in court and agency filings in paper and electronic formats, adhering to individual court and judicial procedures and ensuring that applicable deadlines are met.
  • Prepare a variety of pleadings and other documents associated with the procedural aspects of litigation and the filing process.
  • Provide advice to litigation attorneys regarding forms of pleadings and interpretation of court rules in local and remote jurisdictions.
  • Use Westlaw, Lexis Nexis, Courtlink, and other research platforms to provide high level legal research with respect to procedural and strategic issues across many jurisdictions.
  • Dictates/prepares legal memoranda, pleadings, briefs, motions, reports, articles, and letters using the Company’s legal case management software, dictation and voice recognition.
  • Provide training to your firm’s attorneys, in formal and informal settings, regarding local court procedures, computation of time, and fundamentals of litigation procedures.
  • Supervise service of subpoenas and the use of process servers, retrieval and filing of court documents in paper and electronic form, and research in court docket databases.
  • Manage federal court admissions database for your firm.
  • Travel to and appear at depositions, arbitrations, court conferences and other case events as directed.
  • Reports to managing attorney(s) concerning compliance and coordination with production quotas. Keeps daily work logs as directed.
  • Review, evaluate and engage in discovery.
  • Complete special projects on various issues as needed.
  • There is an expectation that the above-referenced duties will be performed not only during traditional business hours, but also during off hours and weekends, as circumstances dictate. Frequent e-mail monitoring and a quick response time are necessary in this fast-paced office setting, where customer service is paramount.
